1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Rules of Golf Ai, including our website at rulesofgolfai.com, the iOS and Android apps, and related features such as Ask AI (collectively, the “Services”).
The Services are provided by MTPHOLDINGS, INC., doing business as MTPH Software and Rules of Golf Ai (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. The Services
Rules of Golf Ai is a golf rules assistant. It helps players look up, understand, and ask questions about the Rules of Golf. Features may include searchable rules content, Ai-powered question and answer, voice playback, and related tools.
The Services are intended for informational and educational use. They are not a substitute for the official Rules of Golf, a rules official, or a tournament committee.
3. Not an Official Rules Authority
Rules of Golf Ai is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the United States Golf Association (USGA), The R&A, or any golf association, tour, or club, except where we expressly say otherwise.
Ai-generated answers and other content in the Services may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You are responsible for confirming any ruling that matters to a competition, handicap, or official decision.
4. License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for personal or authorized business use, in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or republish the Services or any substantial part of them
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from the Services
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover source code, except where the law allows
- Remove proprietary notices or branding
- Use the Services in any unlawful, abusive, or unauthorized way
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Services, our systems, or our networks
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content, or use automated means to overload Ask AI or other features
Unauthorized use immediately terminates your license to use the Services.
5. Ask AI and User Content
If you submit a question or other content through Ask AI or similar features, you retain ownership of that content. You grant us a limited license to process it as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Services, including sending it to third-party Ai providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or unrelated to the Rules of Golf, or that attempts to misuse the Ai features. We may refuse, rate-limit, or discontinue Ask AI at any time.
6. Intellectual Property
The Services and all associated content—including software, text, graphics, designs, logos, trademarks, databases, and functionality—are owned by or licensed to MTPHOLDINGS, INC.
Golf rules text and related official materials may be subject to copyrights and other rights of the USGA, The R&A, or other third parties. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of those materials to you.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
7. Accounts, Devices, and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any credentials you use to access the Services. We strongly discourage jailbreaking, rooting, or otherwise modifying your device’s operating system, as doing so may compromise security or prevent the Services from working properly.
If you use a device you do not own, you represent that you have permission from the owner or account holder.
8. Internet Access and Third-Party Charges
Certain features require an active internet connection. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by loss of access, Wi-Fi or carrier issues, data limits, or roaming. Your carrier’s standard charges may apply, and you are solely responsible for those costs.
9. Third-Party Services
The Services may rely on third-party platforms and providers, including Apple, Google, OpenAI, analytics providers, and app stores. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices. Your use of them may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies.
10. Modifications, Fees, and Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We may introduce paid features or subscriptions. If we do, pricing and payment terms will be presented before you are charged.
We may release updates. Continued use of the apps may require installing available updates. We do not guarantee that the Services will remain compatible with every device or operating system version.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, reliability, availability, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any rules explanation or Ai answer is complete or correct.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MTPHOLDINGS, INC., its officers, employees, affiliates, partners, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, scoring or competition consequences, or device damage.
Your use of the Services is at your sole risk. In all cases, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim or ten U.S. dollars (US $10).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, the limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time if you violate these Terms, if we discontinue a Service, or if legal or technical changes require it. Upon termination, your license ends and you must stop using the Services and, where applicable, uninstall the apps.
14. Privacy
Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that information may be collected and processed as described there.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The updated version is effective when posted unless we say otherwise. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited, any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.
