Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how MTPHOLDINGS, INC., doing business as MTPH Software and Rules of Golf Ai (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you use Rules of Golf Ai, including our website at rulesofgolfai.com, the iOS and Android apps, and related features such as Ask AI (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

2. Summary

  • You can use much of the Services without creating an account.
  • If you ask a rules question, we process that question so we can generate an answer.
  • We use analytics and diagnostics to understand how the Services are used and to fix problems.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • You may have privacy rights depending on where you live. Contact us to exercise them.

3. Information We Collect

Information you provide

We collect information you choose to submit, such as:

  • Golf rules questions and optional rule references you enter in Ask AI or the apps
  • Messages you send us by email or other support channels
  • Any other content you voluntarily provide

We do not require you to create an account to use the core features of the website or apps.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we and our providers may collect:

  • Device and browser information, such as device type, operating system, app version, language, and browser type
  • Approximate location derived from IP address
  • IP address and request timestamps, including to apply rate limits and protect Ask AI from abuse
  • Usage data, such as pages viewed, features used, and interaction events
  • Diagnostics, such as crash logs and performance data

On the website, we use Google Analytics. In the apps, we use Google Firebase services, which may include Analytics and Crashlytics. Apple’s App Store listing currently describes usage data and diagnostics as data that may be collected but is not linked to your identity.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for analytics, security, and basic site operation. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site functionality or analytics.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including generating answers to rules questions
  • Secure the Services, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits
  • Measure usage, diagnose crashes, and improve features
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Communicate about the Services when you contact us or where permitted by law

5. Ai Features and Third-Party Processing

When you submit a question through Ask AI or similar app features, we send that question (and any optional rule reference) to our servers and to third-party artificial intelligence providers, currently OpenAI, so an answer can be generated. Those providers process the content according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Do not include personal information, account credentials, or other sensitive data in questions. Ai answers are generated automatically and may be inaccurate. They are not official rulings.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us host, analyze, secure, or operate the Services, including Google (Analytics, Firebase, Play), Apple (App Store), and OpenAI
  • Professional advisors such as lawyers or accountants, when needed
  • Authorities if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or the Services
  • A buyer or successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, security and abuse prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. Rate-limit records and similar technical logs are kept for a limited period. Support emails are kept as long as needed to respond and maintain our records.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion
  • Request a copy of information in a portable format
  • Opt out of certain processing, including sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share as those terms are commonly defined)
  • Appeal a decision we make about a privacy request, where the law provides that right

These rights may apply under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) and the Florida Digital Bill of Rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Do Not Track

The website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. You can limit analytics cookies through your browser or device settings.

11. International Users

We are based in the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where we or our providers operate. Those places may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

12. Third-Party Links and Stores

The Services may link to third-party sites, including the Apple App Store and Google Play. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is effective when posted unless we say otherwise. We will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
